Meet Doug

Doug Ollivant is a father, husband, and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel who brings a results-oriented approach to leadership, grounded in service, integrity, and common sense. A resident of Culpeper County, Doug understands the challenges Virginia families face — from rising costs to economic uncertainty. His distinguished career includes two combat tours in Iraq, advising coalition forces in Afghanistan, teaching at West Point, and serving as Director for Iraq at the National Security Council. Now running for Congress, Doug is focused on restoring fiscal responsibility, rebuilding American industry, and ensuring food security — while protecting the values that shape both our rural communities and our fast-growing suburbs.

Today, Doug leads a global consulting firm that combats corruption and promotes accountability in some of the world’s toughest regions. A respected voice on national security, he also contributes to policy discussions at two leading think tanks and frequently appears on national television. Doug holds advanced degrees from Indiana University, James Madison University, and Wheaton College. As the proud father of seven grown children and two grandchildren, he is determined to build a stronger, safer, and more affordable America for the next generation. He and his wife Sabrina live along the Rappahannock River with their dog and chickens — reflecting a life grounded in the same values he’ll bring to Congress.
