Lowering Taxes and Reducing Wasteful Spending

Taxpayers deserve a government that respects their hard work and uses their dollars wisely. I’m committed to easing the tax burden on families and businesses by promoting fiscal responsibility and reducing unnecessary spending. As a husband, father, veteran, and business partner, I know that means making smart choices—cutting inefficiencies, reviewing outdated programs, and ensuring every dollar serves a clear purpose. We can provide essential services while still allowing Virginians to keep more of what they earn. It’s not about cutting for the sake of cutting—it’s about doing better with less and building a government that’s efficient, accountable, and sustainable.

Housing Affordability

Rising housing costs are a major factor in lack of affordability for Virginians.  Median house prices have risen by 65-70% in the past decade, leaving too many Virginians behind, or struggling as housing consumes ever more of their budget.

While the bulk of remedies are at the state and local level, all levels of government should be promoting policies to increase housing supply.  Higher prices are a supply-demand problem.  Giving subsidies, while tempting, will not fix the core problem of insufficient supply.

The best way to increase supply is to reduce regulation for development, redevelopment, and building supply chains, while creating some legal protections against frivolous zoning disputes.  Creative solutions, such as making federal land available, can also be pursued.

But the bottom line is that more units need to be created to fix the current shortage driven by population growth, to make it possible for our children and grandchildren to buy homes and raise families.

Securing the Border and Stopping Fentanyl

Illegal immigration and drug trafficking are critical national security issues, and with my experience at the White House as Director for Iraq at the National Security  Council, I will treat them as such. I support strong enforcement of our immigration laws to stop unlawful entry and deter those who exploit our system. But it’s not just about the border—it’s about what’s coming across it. Fentanyl is killing thousands of Americans every month, and it’s flooding into our communities through cartel-run trafficking routes. We must treat this like the emergency it is: empowering law enforcement, increasing penalties for traffickers, and enhancing cooperation across federal, state, and local agencies. I’ll fight to shut down the pipeline of poison and hold both foreign suppliers and domestic dealers accountable—because every family deserves a community free from fear and addiction.

Supporting Law Enforcement

Safe communities start with strong support for the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect us. I stand with law enforcement and believe they deserve the resources, training, and respect they need to do their jobs effectively. We must invest in better policing, support community partnerships, and hold criminals accountable. I’ll always back those who uphold the law and keep our neighborhoods safe, because public safety is the foundation of opportunity and peace of mind for every family.

Energy

Virginia’s families deserve affordable energy, and our communities need reliable power they can count on. That’s why I support a common sense all-of-the-above approach, with small modular nuclear reactors and natural gas at the center. Nuclear provides safe, carbon-free power around the clock, while natural gas has already lowered bills and cut emissions—proving innovation works better than Washington mandates.

This is especially urgent as data centers expand across Virginia, demanding massive amounts of steady power. To keep these jobs and investments here at home, Virginia and all North America needs energy that is secure, affordable, and local. Just as important, this growth must happen with community buy-in and full coordination between residents, energy providers, and policymakers. And as we grow, we must protect treasures like the Rappahannock River—because progress should never come at the cost of the natural beauty that defines our communities.

By pairing these strengths with American innovation in wind, rooftop solar, hydropower, and carbon capture, we can keep costs low for families, create good-paying jobs, and strengthen our national security.

Finally, America doesn’t stand alone in this effort. By working with the U.S. subsidiaries of Canadian energy firms and embracing a North American energy strategy, we can strengthen energy independence across the continent, drive innovation, and ensure that Virginia families benefit from reliable, affordable power for decades to come.

Keeping Faith with Veterans

Virginia is home to one of the largest veteran populations in the nation, yet too many veterans feel frustrated, ignored, or left behind by a system that was meant to serve them. As a combat veteran, I’ve experienced firsthand how bureaucracy and broken processes can fail the very people they’re supposed to help. We must address these systemic problems with real reform by cutting through red tape, modernizing outdated systems that create long wait times, and improving the quality of care veterans receive.

My priority is simple: veterans should never feel abandoned! Once in Congress, I will work to streamline bureaucracy by shifting resources away from administrative overhead and directing them to frontline services like suicide prevention, mental health care, and community-based care programs. I will support smarter partnerships and innovation to expand care options, reduce delays, and meet veterans where they are. Most importantly, we must restore trust through transparency, accountability, and consistent engagement with the veteran community. Our veterans kept their commitment to us, now it’s time for our government to keep its commitment to them.

Peace Through Strength

“Peace through Strength” is not just a campaign slogan, it is a tried and true approach to combating America’s foreign adversaries. During my time in the Army, I’ve seen the first hand the dangers our enemies pose. That’s why I have dedicated both my time in the public and private sectors to defending our nation and educating the public about foreign threats. In Congress, I will work to advance a foreign policy that defends our borders, increases global stability, and ensures America’s interests are protected both at home and abroad.

Pro-Family, Pro-Worker, Pro-Business

As a husband and father, I understand the importance of a happy and healthy family. Strong families, empowered workers, and thriving businesses are the foundation of a healthy community. I’m committed to policies that support working parents, expand opportunity, and make it easier to build a good life right here at home. That means reducing the cost of living, encouraging job creation, and cutting red tape that holds back small businesses. It also means protecting parental rights, promoting skilled trades, and keeping the American Dream within reach for the next generation. When families are supported, workers are respected, and businesses are free to grow—everyone benefits.

Protecting Girls in Sports and Spaces

As a father, I understand that every student deserves the opportunity to compete and participate in a way that’s fair and respectful, especially when it comes to girls’ sports and private spaces. Protecting fairness in competition and ensuring privacy and safety in these spaces isn’t about division—it’s about making sure our daughters have the same opportunities and protections generations of women before them fought to secure. I support thoughtful, respectful policies that uphold these principles while treating all students with dignity.
